Early Life and Career

Jens Lehmann was born in Essen, Germany, on November 10, 1969. He started his professional career with Schalke 04 in 1989 and quickly established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga.

In 1997, Lehmann joined Borussia Dortmund, where he won the Bundesliga title in 2002. He also made his debut for the German national team in 1998 and was a member of the squad that finished second at the 2002 World Cup.

Move to Arsenal

In 2003, Lehmann signed for Arsenal for £1.5 million. He quickly became a fan favorite at Highbury, thanks to his impressive performances and eccentric personality.

Lehmann played a key role in Arsenal's Premier League title triumph in 2004 and was also part of the team that reached the Champions League final in 2006.

Return to Germany

In 2008, Lehmann returned to Germany to join VfB Stuttgart. He spent two seasons with the club before retiring from professional football in 2010.
