Real Madrid Stuns Man City in Thrilling Champions League Semi-Final
Benzema Penalty Seals Final Berth after Rodrygo's Late Surge
Rodrygo Scores Twice in Final Minutes to Force Extra Time
Real Madrid secured a dramatic 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday, advancing to the final with a 6-5 aggregate score.
Bernardo Silva gave City an early lead just two minutes into the match, but Madrid rallied with an own-goal by Ruben Dias in the 12th minute and an equalizer by Rodrygo two minutes later.
The second half remained intense, but neither team could break the deadlock. In the final two minutes of regulation time, Rodrygo struck twice more to send the match into extra time.
Karim Benzema then converted a penalty in the first half of extra time to give Madrid the lead. Lucas Vazquez scored a late equalizer for City, but it wasn't enough to prevent Madrid from securing their place in the final.
Madrid will now face Bayern Munich in the final, which will be held on June 10th in Istanbul.
